Hey there, Heroes!
The end of 2023 is nearing and that means… a new year and more importantly the year Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is released to the masses. We have certainly had our ups and downs but continue to work on making the best game possible. We know it’s still a few months away so if you are looking for something to play over the Christmas break you can always pick up Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising and get an introduction to some of the key characters (and wield a giant sword as a kangaroo!)
We wish you and yours the happiest of holidays!
Update Schedule:
While we largely kept to the last Wednesday of every month up until recently, platform selections and other logistical updates knocked us off track a bit. Due to year end holidays the next update will be January 10th. From there we’ll return to our regular end-of-month updates straight up until launch.

Murayama’s Monthly Update
It’s currently all hands on deck as we work through bug fixing.
Bug checking and bug fixing is a heavy task in any game, but RPGs are especially buggy. The scenario progression isn’t so straightforward with some players going different places in the middle of the game, or even running backwards if they want. Because you have to deal with such cases, you need a lot of backup events that many players will never see.
Not only that, the Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes biography is packed with a huge number of characters, each with their own battle and war scenario settings.
Not forgetting all the facilities available in the hub town, each of which needs to be checked too.
It’s no surprise then why the number of bug check reports is enormous.
In the past, these reports were written out by hand and just looking at them piled up inches high would make me feel pretty hopeless. These reports are conducted online now, but it’s still not much different in terms of psychological damage given the large number of pages of items in each report.
But once all these struggles are over, the game will be delivered to you all.
Once upon a time, I got a question from a player.
“The stairs to the second floor of the inn’s blocked by a barrel. How are you supposed to get to the second floor?” they asked.
I’m sorry. The upstairs was actually deleted because a lack of memory made it too buggy, so we put a barrel there to seal it off.
Director Komuta’s Sneak Peek
Komunichi-wa. Komuban-wa. Director Komuta here.
Development is nearing its climax, but that doesn’t mean I don’t have some in-development sneak peeks to share!
Welcome to snow-covered Skriss Village, a location Nowa and his friends will visit during their adventure.

What on earth do you think happened to this village?

And where do you think frozen Nowa and chums are sliding off to?
Since this is the month of Happy Holidays, we wanted to show off a village and dungeon that felt perfect for the winter season.
Well, everyone, I hope you have a wonderful holiday!
I’ll be sure to show you more glimpses in the next issue, so please look forward to it!
