The Galdean Empire has edged out other nations and discovered a technology that amplifies the rune-lenses’ magic. Now, the Empire is scouring the continent for an artifact that will expand their power even further. It is on one such expedition that Seign Kesling, a young and gifted imperial officer, and Nowa, a boy from a remote village, meet each other and become friends. However, a twist of fate will soon drag them into the fires of war, and force them both to reexamine everything they believe to be right and true.

"Recruited into The Watch from his border village to gain experience. He joins them on a mission alongside sentrys from The Empire during which he finds a powerful Primal Lens, and is unaware that the Lens could be the trigger for war between the League and The Empire. From there, he is assigned to the military of the League of Nations itself. He often acts without thinking, and without considering the effects that his behavior will have on him or his allies. Despite being considered a meddler, he is generally regarded well by all who know him, as his friends understand that he will always help them if they're ever in a tough spot.
